After studying physics and earning his doctorate, Dr Ettischer initially worked as a management consultant. He subsequently spent several years as Senior Manager for Quality, Planning, Logistics and Lean Transformation as well as Director of Assembly in the car and truck industry.
In his last role as Vice President of Global Operations at an automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer, he was responsible for production at five locations worldwide with 16,000 employees.
