      Boppard; 15.05.2023: BOMAG confirms its attendance at PlantworX 2023. The show will be held at the East of England Arena & Events Centre, Peteborough between June 13th-15th.

      BOMAG will display a range of compaction equipment and future-oriented light equipment at Stand DH 5&6 in a static display and a live demo area. This will allow customers to view our classic and innovative products and expert demonstrations as well as allow them the ability to engage in talks with our industry specialists.

      During the highly anticipated event, BOMAG will showcase a range of its latest and most innovative products, including state-of-the-art asphalt pavers and tandem rollers. In addition, there will be a range of compact equipment, including the latest lineup of e-performance equipment, our extensive service offerings and our revolutionary line of intelligent compaction technology.

      Some of the key highlights being displayed on the stand include:

      BW 154 AP-5 AM,

      a heavy tandem pivot steer asphalt roller. This is available now and comes with a host of features such as the custom ASPHALT MANAGER System as well as being kitted with myCOCKPIT. This technology has been shortlisted for the 2023 PlantworX Innovation Awards, along with our Autobrake technology, which will be available to the market later in the year.

      BW 120 AD e-5.

      Our tandem rollers have always been popular, but for the first time in the UK we will be launching our electric BW 120 AD e-5. This model is our first electric tandem roller. Although we will be showing a pre-series model, this will be available to market in 2024. The BOMAG e-PERFORMANCE range delivers a powerful electric alternative for more sustainable and efficient road construction. The same e-performance power train is also fitted to the BW 100 AD e-5.

      BW 177 BVC-5 Remote Control.

      In our live demonstration area we will be showcasing a pre-series BW 177 BVC-5 Remote Control concept. This 7-tonne single drum roller is equipped with many of the technologies seen within our autonomous ROBOMAG. It also features current state-of-the-art automated drum compaction control, BVC, including the load bearing capacity monitor TERRAMETER. Both combine to produce the most efficient compaction system available.
      Radio remote control allows machine operation to occur at a safe distance from the operator.  This kind of operation is only expected to increase in the UK due to its obvious safety benefits as well as its alignment with the UK’s future roadmap to autonomy, including reducing the number of operators on-site.

      BW 213 D-5 SL.

      Also being showcased at PlantworX will be the BOMAG BW 213 D-5 SL. This is a pre-series model, available later this year and is the first of the new Smart Line generation. 
      BOMAG's new Smart Line single drum rollers are characterised by their large amplitudes, optimum weight distribution and high linear load. These high-performance machines result in ideal depth effect and, accordingly, reliably high surface coverage when compacting sand, gravel, crushed rock and poorly cohesive soils. Thanks to its high-torque drive and outstanding gradeability, the operator always manoeuvres the roller confidently in road and embankment construction, earthworks or landfill operations, even when working in difficult terrain.

      In addition to all of these exciting products, we will have on show many of our industry-leading technologies, including myCOCKPIT, ASPHALT MANAGER and BOMAG VARIOCONTROL. All of these progressions demonstrate our commitment and progression on the road to Autonomy.
