Boppard, 7 October 2026: The new BOMAG BF 700 C-5, BF 700 P-5 and BF 800 C-5 highway pavers have been developed specifically to meet the demands of today's paving teams and stand out for their pioneering operating concept.
The BF 700 delivers a maximum paving output of 700 tons per hour, while the BF 800 reaches 800 tons per hour. At launch, the BF 800 is available as a track-driven paver and the BF 700-5 in both tracked and wheeled versions. Alongside the new paver generation, BOMAG is also introducing enhanced screeds: the S 500-5 TV and S 600-5 TV are 20% more rigid and 15% lighter while maintaining the same surface pressure. They can pave widths of up to 9 and 10 metres respectively.
With its myCOCKPIT operating concept, BOMAG gives paving teams what many have been asking for: a few clicks are all it takes to tailor what is shown on the main control station and the screed control panel to their own needs and to each working situation. Both displays, measuring 10 and 7 inches respectively, show all key paving parameters at a glance: screed width measurement, crown profile, cross slope, auger position and tow arm height. Five buttons on the side-mounted control panel and two on the driver's joystick can also be assigned custom functions to streamline operation. The intuitive, user-centred design of myCOCKPIT helps the paver driver and screed operator get the job done reliably. All menus and screens are clearly structured and self-explanatory, and functions and settings can be selected and personalised directly on the touchscreen.
On the new pavers, BOMAG A-PAVE SMARTPAVE leaves the operator with just one task: selecting the paving layer. The machine does the rest, precisely coordinating the scraper belt and auger speed, the screed temperature and the tamper and vibration frequencies. A-PAVE START can automatically relieve and lock the screed at start-up or during interruptions to paving and then return it to the floating position. A-PAVE SET+ also moves the machine back into its transport or working position at the push of a button. Key paver functions can be automated, including paving width and height, cross slope and steering. Automatic crown profile control is also available as an option. For straightforward integration of external levelling systems, the latest generation of large BOMAG pavers features the bidirectional JOBLINK Pro interface.
The driver's seat rotates, slides left and right and swings fully out to the side for a clear view in all directions. Using the finger joysticks, the screed operator can extend and retract the screed while keeping its edge in view at all times, without having to look at the controls. They can also use a remote control, giving them an unobstructed view of the paving edge from outside the machine and allowing them to work clear of the danger zone when paving alongside live traffic or on cramped sites.
