The engine hood can be opened electrohydraulically. All service points for the daily check can be accessed from the left platform. The check can be easily performed on the way to the workplace.
Charge air, hydraulic oil and coolant are only cooled as much as is necessary. Compared to a machine where the fan output is directly coupled to the engine speed, the potential fuel saving is about 5%.
The air intake is located at the highest point of the machine. This is where the dust content is lowest. In addition, the air flow can be reversed: this makes it very easy to clean the radiator and the protective grille.
The inclination angles of the oscillating articulated joint reach absolute peak values of plus/minus 15 degrees. Every wheel is always in contact with the ground. The control system can supply each wheel with the required amount of oil by means of a steering angle sensor.
The result: no displacement, no slipping, maximum traction and compaction – at all points. Previous compaction work also remains intact when the machine passes over it again.
