Professional solutions for compaction technology and asphalt construction.

Boppard, 18.02.2025: With the launch of its new BS 10-2 binder spreader, BOMAG is once again setting standards in base stabilisation, subsoil improvement and cold recycling. By spreading binders such as cement or lime, the BS 10-2 reduces the soil moisture content while improving the compactability of the subsoil. This makes it the first choice for medium-sized construction sites, especially those with challenging ground conditions. The machine celebrates its premiere at Bauma 2025 in Munich and offers state-of-the-art technology for precise and efficient work.
The BS 10-2 towed spreader has been specifically designed for the even spreading of powdered binders such as cement, lime and fly ash. With a tank volume of 10 m³ and computer-controlled quantity regulation, it delivers precise spreading results even at varying working speeds. A radar sensor continuously measures the tractor’s speed and automatically adjusts the spread rate to prevent over- or under-dosing.
The spreading width can be flexibly adjusted in four sections from 1.0 m to 2.4 m, offering a high degree of adaptability to different project requirements.

The BS 10-2 stands out for its robust design. The chamber plates are made of stainless steel, which significantly extends their service life. In addition, the stainless steel chamber plates can be individually replaced if needed, which simplifies maintenance and repair. For greater stability and safety, the towed spreader can be optionally equipped with a pneumatic braking system. Thanks to its low centre of gravity (total height just 3.08 m), large tyres measuring 1.65 m in diameter and 0.65 m in width, and low tyre pressure, the spreader ensures optimal stability even on challenging ground conditions.
The straightforward operation of the BS 10-2 is another highlight. All functions can be intuitively controlled via a cab-installed control panel with clearly labelled soft-touch buttons. The 4.3-inch colour display shows the operator key parameters such as the spread width and rate, and the current load status.
The binder spreader is equipped with LED lighting as standard and meets all requirements of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). Reflectors and a removable LED warning light ensure safety on the road. Additional work lights make it easier to work in the dark or at dusk.
For tractor connection, the BS 10-2 can be fitted with a variety of attachment options, e.g. 40 mm or 50 mm towing eyes or the K80 ball coupling. It is driven by a PTO shaft with a standard profile and an input speed of 540 rpm.
The tank can be filled from above or directly from a silo vehicle. Three-inch valves enable fast filling, while a filter system minimises dust generation. Alternatively, the tank can be filled with big bags. An acoustic signal alerts the silo truck driver as soon as the tank is full.
Maintenance work on the BS 10-2 is quick and easy to perform. Large flaps with simple closures provide easy access to the service points.
BOMAG stands for uncompromising quality. This applies not only to the machines themselves but also to the service and original parts. Customers can rely on the high performance and operational capability of the BS 10-2, ensuring long-term productivity and cost-effectiveness.
