Now BOMAG, as one of the leading manufacturers in the field, presents its powerful BT 60 e battery-electric tamper for the first time.
The new BT 60 e tamper is future-proof for use in trench and pipeline construction, landscaping, compaction work on backfills and foundations, as well as for repair work. It is also ideal for use in areas where legal emission regulations apply, such as trenches or subways. Thanks to its battery-electric drive, the tamper operates without direct emissions. At the same time, it offers optimum compaction technology and impact force – even over prolonged working periods.

Another advantage for our customers is that the tamper can already be used anywhere – even where regulations stipulate the use of emission-free drive systems. Like the other tamper models in BOMAG's portfolio, the BT 60 e comes with full engine protection. This provides owners with a reliable machine for use in the rough and tumble of everyday construction work while saving on maintenance and repair costs.
Two battery sizes with either 1000 Wh or 1400 Wh are available to operate the tamper. Both battery models, eP 20 and eP 28, can be used flexibly. The tamper is conveniently ready for action at the touch of a button, even at low temperatures. Standard and fast chargers are also available for recharging the batteries. Swapping power packs is quick and easy with the release lever. This makes exchanging different battery models child's play.
Thanks to the electric drive, the machine requires less maintenance because the BT 60 e doesn't require engine oil or an air filter.
