On 8 February 2019, a delegation from BOMAG Germany including Jean-Claude Fayat visited the BOMAG office in Mumbai for its inauguration. Jörg Unger, Jean-Noel Daguin, Karl-Otto Überbach and Jean-Claude Fayat were welcomed by Tanay Mete, Country Manager – India, and his team.
The inauguration started at the entrance hall of the ‘Kanakia Wall Street’ office building in Mumbai, BOMAG India Pvt. Ltd.’s office, where Jean-Claude Fayat, CEO, Jörg Unger, President of the Fayat Road Equipment Devision, Jean-Noel Daguin, Senior Vice President Asia / Pacific and Karl Überbach, Vice President Asia / Pacific, were greeted by their Indian colleagues. At the office on the 6th floor in the B-Wing of the complex every management team member received a traditional turban, the so-called Dastar, and a red dot, the Tika, drawn on their forehead. The lighting of a traditional lamp, which was accompanied by a violin player, was also part of the reception. Afterwards, Tanay Mete introduced his seven-member team to the BOMAG delegation and gave a business presentation including an overview of the Indian market since 2014 and a business plan for 2019 – 2022. At the end of the inauguration, Jean-Claude Fayat was interviewed by the Indian magazine “India Equipment” about the current market trends in India.
