Boppard, 10.07.2017. For 60 years Bomag GmbH has stood for innovation, change and ongoing development – not only at the company’s head office in Boppard. Bomag’s new branch office in Alland near Vienna was officially opened on 30 June revealing a contemporary design closely aligned to the needs of its customers.
“This branch office is a great asset for us and an important step for the future of BOMAG in Austria. Coinciding with this opening we are also celebrating the 60th anniversary of Bomag and the Fayat Group” explained Jean-Claude Fayat, owner of the Fayat Group during the opening celebrations.
Almost 200 guests came to the new Bomag Austria depot in Alland, about 20 kilometres from Vienna. Also present were Ralf Junker, president of the BOMAG Group and state minister for economic affairs, Petra Bohuslav (Austrian People’s Party). “With this new branch office, BOMAG has shown it is equipped for the future” said the state minister. “The Federal State of Lower Austria is an attractive location with a modern economy and state-of-the-art technology and educational institutions. We are delighted that Bomag is contributing to our positive economic figures and to the internationalisation of the region.”
Ralf Junker also highlighted the benefits of the new location: “Over the last 60 years we have continuously developed our road construction machines and technologies, always with the aim of providing our customers with the best solution. Our new branch office here in Alland is now also playing its part in this. Thanks to improved transport connections, the new infrastructure and this modern depot, we are well equipped to meet today’s market requirements.”
After the official welcome and a building blessing by Father Dr. Paul Bernhard Wodrazka C.O. the visitors had an opportunity to see the facility for themselves. They were all impressed with the advanced design. The Bomag products themselves also took centre-stage: with several machines being “in action” at first hand. “This celebration is also the green light for more effective training programmes which we can now start to offer immediately for our customers” said Günther Kühn, managing director of Bomag Austria.
