New BOMAG´s for Hawkes Group

Hawes Group, based in Kettering, has just taken delivery of a package of BOMAG light compaction equipment, from local distributor Shellplant. The package includes 4 light tandem rollers (1x BW 80 AD-5, 2x BW 120 AD-5 and 1x BW 135 AD-5), and a BMP 8500 remote-controlled multi-purpose compactor, fitted with ECONOMIZER. The BW 135 AD-5 is also fitted with BOMAG’s unique ECONOMIZER system which continuously measures the degree of compaction under the machine as it works with a LED display for the operator.

Founded by Reece Hawkes in 2013, Hawkes Group is now one of the leading Civil Engineering companies based in Northamptonshire. Commenting on the purchase, Reece Hawkes said, “We’re running other brands of compaction equipment and having problems, so we made the decision to purchase BOMAG due to their proven reliability, renowned quality and the fact they incorporate the latest technology. Shellplant, our local BOMAG distributor, from whom we purchased the machines, were also an important part of the purchase decision due to their proven after sales service.”

Hawkes Group is a ‘solutions-orientated ‘company offering clients a complete one stop package from demolition to earthworks and civil engineering, eliminating the need for multiple contractors and associated overlaps in organisation and health and safety.
