In the course of the ongoing development of BOMAG production facilities in the USA, China, Italy, Germany and Brazil to meet the growing international orientation of our customers, we plan to upgrade our supplier base at home and abroad. The main emphasis in the purchas of production materials is on engines, hydraulics, steel and steel components, casting, stamped and turned parts as well as electronic and electromechanical devices. On account of future developments, plastic and rubber parts are becoming increasingly important for us.
In addition, operating supplies, services and capital projects are other important areas in our purchasing portfolio.
The BOMAG Group aims for long-term partnerships with its suppliers. To ensure the success of these partnerships, the criteria for becoming a BOMAG supplier are set out in our quality management system.
You begin the process of becoming a supplier to the BOMAG Group by completing a standard questionnaire and submitting your catalogue materials (in paper/digital form), which are then circulated to our departments. Existing and potential new suppliers are listed and receive appropriate enquiries for our different projects.
The choice of suppliers from the approved list is made by a team made up of representatives from different departments on the basis of economic, technical, logistical and qualitative merits.

This process minimizes risks and enables the rapid and effective integration of suppliers into our business method. Only suppliers with world-class quality and process capabilities qualify for this type of business relationship.
A quality assurance agreement sets out quality management criteria and is an indispensable condition for series deliveries. We require first sample test reports including an initial sample for certification. During the production of the sample order, we reserve the right to verify the manufacturing process at the supplier´s facility or to inspect statistical process control documentation.
Depending on the contract terms for delivery, tools, modules or assembly and nondisclosure agreements will be part of our relationship. Where a supplier carries out development work for us, this will be covered by a form of agreement.
