The new BOMAG Terrameter BTM plus/BTM prof is a support system for roller operators, engineers and contractors. BTM plus/BTM prof are used as an integrated working tool for the continuous surface area assessment of compaction and load bearing capacity of soils and unbound bearing courses. Similar to the plate bearing tests used in earthworks and road construction, the BTM plus/BTM prof provide a direct test for soil stiffness in MN/m2 during the compaction process using the relationship between the soil contact force and the deflection of the roller drum. The EVIB value is directly related to the deformation moduli EV1 or EV2 in the DIN 18134 plate bearing test. The measuring value is called vibration modulus EVIB [MN/m²].
