BCM 05 positioning is a software developed by BOMAG which is intended to connect local GPS/ATS systems to BOMAG measuring systems. A prerequisite is that the compaction equipment is already equipped with a BCM 05 system. This includes both the new single drum rollers from BW 177 D-4 upwards and new generation BOMAG tandem rollers with ASPHALT MANAGER.
Determining position of the roller is achieved for soil and asphalt applications with BCM 05 positioning and the corresponding GPS/ATS products. BCM 05 positioning has interfaces to the usual GPS/ATS systems and to GPS reference services at the ready. Depending on the chosen GPS/ATS system a position can be ascertained with an accuracy of up to 5 cm. BCM 05 positioning guarantees high quality, clear SCCC documentation and backs up the compaction data without the risk of faulty operation and manipulation. At the same time as the system is recording and displaying the results the operator is relieved of pressure, the use of the compaction equipment is optimised and costs are reduced.
