ASPHALT MANAGER

The ASPHALT MANAGER automatically optimises the compaction performance whilst rolling. The system continuously measures the load bearing capacity of the material to be compacted and it always provides the maximum compaction performance achievable. The compaction progress can be monitored on a special display - the BOMAG Operational Panel (BOP). The display also informs the operator about the current asphalt surface temperature, the roller speed and the effective amplitude being used.

Tests show that the dynamic stiffness calculated by ASPHALT MANAGER EVIB [MN/m²] can be used as a measure for compaction given uniform subgrade stiffness and taking account of asphalt temperature. The ASPHALT MANAGER improves compaction uniformity and surface quality on asphalt.
